Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Sevenoaks, is proudly located in the heart of Sevenoaks in the TN13 postal sector. The nursery is on Amherst hill, just down the road from the Riverhead Village Hall. Sevenoaks Railway Station is a 15 minute walk away and a short drive from the M25, A25 and the Sevenoaks Bypass (A21).
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
Science experiment day: 🧪🧑🏼🔬👩🏽🔬🥼
We have had an array of smells throughout the nursery today. Our Investigators completed two science experiments, they began with an activity all around germs and the importance of washing their hands. They used pepper, water and washing up liquid to see what the reaction would be once they dipped their finger into each liquid. 🧫⚗️
Next up they used warm water and their fabulous fine motor skills to squeeze the spray bottles onto ice, then they watched the ice begin to melt and release the frozen fishes. 🐠🐟
Our Inventors started by creating a wonderful volcano using a range of materials and ideas, then they used Soda and vinegar to cause a chemical reaction as they watched it erupt!!🌋

A trip to some of our Pre-schoolers next adventure 😀 as part of our school readiness prior to going to big school, some of the children went for a very exciting visit to see their new school, teacher and playground and have some time to explore with their key worker. It's Big Chef, Little Chef time:
What fun we all had, this week the winning recipes were chocolate chip cookies and fruit and yoghurt coolers. So, we got to work with all of our ingredients at the ready and using different tools to chop, measure and mix.
We followed instructions from the recipe, used our number skills to look at different quantities and amazing coordination as we poured and filled.
Once our recipes were complete, it was time for them to go into the oven and freezer ready for us to take home!

🦆 5 little Ducks went swimming one day: 🦆
This afternoon we had some beautiful sunshine as we headed off on our trip to the local Duck Pond. We wondered around the Pond looking at the different flowers and bugs we could spot until we saw were all of the Ducks were swimming, and it was a very exciting sight because there was lots of Baby Ducklings to feed, too.
