Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Sevenoaks, is proudly located in the heart of Sevenoaks in the TN13 postal sector. The nursery is on Amherst hill, just down the road from the Riverhead Village Hall. Sevenoaks Railway Station is a 15 minute walk away and a short drive from the M25, A25 and the Sevenoaks Bypass (A21).
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)

🧑🌾Old McDonald had a Farm, eee-ie-eee-ie-ooh! 👩🌾
This morning we took a nature trip to see what Farm Animals we could find hiding in our beautiful Sevenoaks community!
We started our adventure by walking to our local reserve where we was greeted by our first animals.. Who was behind the stable doors?? horses, of course! 🐴
The children loved looking around the field and stables watching the horses and we spoke a lot about their features and hooves as a Horse came to say Hello. We was even lucky enough to see a Lady riding her horse, too! 🐎
We then went on a Mini Beast and Bird hunt and looked at the reserves Bug Hotel, Bird Houses and Mini Beast Mansion to see what we could spot lurking. 🐞🐛🐜
Our last destination was the Duck Pond to see the Geese, Ducks and Ducklings. It was very quiet and peaceful by the Pond so the children loved to see how the Ducks slept on water!🦆
We sang Old McDonald all the way home and spoke about what we saw along our exciting travels. When we got back to Nursery one of the children said it was their perfect day, which pretty much summed up our outing.😀💛☀️

Today we have our inset day ✨ This morning we began our day with a fun team building activity, a big well done to Megan and Kitty for the best tower sculpture and also Izzy for winning employee of the month for her amazing start to her apprenticeship 😀 we then continued with a safeguarding quiz and refresh, quality improvement plans, delving into the areas of ofsted and new updates! We then had the fabulous Katie Makaton Tutor deliver an insightful training session around makaton and signs we can use daily in our routine with the children as this is such a key way to support communication and understanding! We had some very exciting visitors delivered today... can you guess who they might have been?? 🐛🦋
Lucy and Alice dressed up as their favourite story today, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Which of course meant me had to bring in a real life experience, and what better way to do so, than to have our very own Nursery Caterpillars!!
For todays circle time we read our story about the Very Hungry Caterpillar together, then it was time to meet our new little friends. We spoke about their life cycle and what we are going to see over the next couple of weeks as they grow bigger, make their cocoon and then become beautiful butterflies. Each room will have their own butterfly tent to keep with their caterpillars inside to keep an eye on and look after until their ready to go into the garden!

📚📖😀World Book Day:😀📖📚

We have had an amazing day sharing our love of reading between friends, we have been exploring an array of stories through activities, sensory play, real life acting and puppet shows.
We also had lots of amazing costumes today as we dressed up in our favourite book characters!
All week we have been participating in a sponsored read and listen to raise money to go towards some new books from Usborne alongside Caroline, who some of you may remember from our Christmas Fayre.

🥞🍳It's time to flip out for Pancake Day!! 🍳🥞
This morning we got busy making our delicious batter by following recipes for the perfect pancakes! We added all of our ingredients together, chopped up our own choices of toppings whilst we waited for our pancakes to cook.... then it was time to enjoy delicious homemade pancakes for our pudding after lunchtime.
